They can definitely hang out, but no figures appear, no matter what methods they take. There are still, alas, no fish to, er, fish, but Noctis is always welcome to try. And those pictures sadly don't reveal anything, but at least he has a lot of nice shots of a lake (and a vaguely humanoid figure) to look at.
