It's a good move that they choose not to come too close, as the delicate-looking spirit flinches nervously at Daylight's happy exclamation, regardless of how well-meaning it was. For the most part, once it seems to relax again, the spirit appears to mostly be focused on the gift that Daylight is making. It occasionally adjusts its mask or paws at its own fur fussily.

Still, whenever it glances at Annie as she talks, there's clear recognition in its big, bright eyes. It doesn't make any kind of response, really, but she'll still get the feeling that she's being understood.

It's...it's a start.
