As they approach, the being does indeed appear to be a forest spirit! One some of them may recognize if they were at that party a couple months back... It's the Two-Step King! They're doing their little dance and chugging extensively from a bottle of wine gripped tightly in one hand.

When the Two-Step King sees the group approaching, they hold up a hand to halt them! Do not approach!
