Now, Quentin is smart. If he was asked directly about it, he'd say he was really smart. Too used to being the smartest person in any room he was in, when he was younger and sometimes that makes him lazy. This is why it takes him more than week before he slinks back to the Librarian, a covered plate of freshly made pizza slices in his hands (Eliot always makes more than enough, as long as he has the supplies for it, and the ferry came! So, yay!) and he slides it over the counter at the Librarian.

He'd watched Aziraphale hand over plates of cookies and snacks before, but there was no way Quentin was going to be able to stomach the smell of sugar, cookies or anything like it. Not without throwing up. So, pizza it is.

After handing over the plate, he starts "So, uh. I know I fucked up with the books, and I'm sorry. But-- so, when I didn't return them, you--I felt hands? In my head? Was that you? And--and I heard someone talking, someone who wasn't there?"
